O R D E R :
In the G.O. 1st read above, the Government have approved the list of Backward Classes (other than Scheduled castes and Scheduled Tribes) and declared that the castes and communities specified in Annexure-I to the said order are Socially and Educationally Backward Classes for the purpose of Article 15(4) and 16(4) of the Constitution of India.

2. The President’s of various Sistakaranam Associations and others submitted representations requesting to include Sistakaranam caste in the list of Backward Classes.

3. In the reference 2nd read above, the Chairman, A.P.Commission for Backward Classes, Hyderabad has submitted a report, recommending that the Sistakaranam caste is socially and educationally backward for the purpose of Article 15(4) & 16(4) of the Constitution of India and fit to be included in the list of Backward Classes under Group-D at Sl.No.44.

4. The Government, after careful examination of the matter, have decided to accept the recommendation of the A.P. Commission for Backward Classes, Hyderabad.

5. Accordingly, Government hereby order that the caste “Sistakaranam” be included in the list of Backward Classes under Group-D at Serial No.44 for the purpose of Articles 15(4) and 16(4) of the Constitution of India.

6. The Director, Backward Classes Welfare, Hyd. and all the District Collectors are hereby directed to take necessary action accordingly.

7. A copy of this order is available on the internet and can be accessed at the address “http://ap online.gov.in/apgos.
