Sistakaranam Association of Durg-Bhilai-Charoda

Sistakaranam association of Durg-Bhilai-Charoda has a very memorable history that goes back to the 60s & 70s.

An annual feature of the association, during Kartika Masaam, is the Vana Bhojaanalu, that were at one time being organised by collecting Re. 2/- from each family. The elder Ladies & Gentlemen used to cook themselves by collecting firewood from surrounding areas. As heard from the elder members, there was lot of coordination among members. This annual programme continues even now and, over the years, the Kartika Masaam picnic has grown to be large in size. Caterers are being engaged for preparing food, and sound system & other amenities are also being arranged. Sports & Cultural events are being organised for different age groups.

In the year 2005 All India level Vivaha Parichay sammelan was  organised under President Sri. P. Krishna Rao, and Genl. Secretary Sri. Lumburu Srinivasa.

And, in the Year 2018 A grand gala event was organised under President ship of Sri N. Maheshwar, and Gen. Secretary Sri Lumburu Srinivasa, in wich Vivaha Parichay Vedika, honouring senior members, & cultural events were organised. The Chief Minister of Chhattishgarh state & the Assembly Speaker had graced the wonderful function.

In the near future, we plan to have our own office building with Kalyan Mandapam for our Community members. A Big Thanks to all valued Senior  members Expired or Alive for their Contribution & Support for the development of this Samakhya.
