Chhattisgarh Sistakaranam Association

Sistakaranams residing in far flung areas of this newly formed Chhattisgarh State felt the need of cultural ties with their fellow relatives with a view to develop social activities.

In recognition of this factor, we gave a clarion call to the members of our community requesting them to attend a conference. The response was overwhelming . Delegates from Bilaspur, Champa, Bhatapara, Akaltara, Raigarh, Korba, Bhilai, Charoda and Jagdalpur gathered at Raipur on 20.01.2012.

It was unanimously resolved to form a state level adhoc body drawn from other districts of Chhattisgarh. Necessary spade work was initiated by the adhoc body. In a subsequent meeting held on 10.02.2002, the adhoc body was re-elected to start functioning on a regular basis. The Chhattisgarh State Association was affiliated to All India Sistakaranam Association, Visakhapatnam (Affl. No. 228). Our body is also registered under society act vide CG Rajya-932 comprising of 13 members from districts.

We hold social gatherings whereat we encourage and award meritorious students and aesthetic talents of our community. In these hard days of professional pursuits and race for success in whatever fields our community people are striving, it is hardly possible to keep in regular touch with one another for finding enough time to address our domestic needs and requirements to discharge our duties towards our families. For this, we arrange “Proposal Meetings” time to time for our marriageable youths, the last being 15.04.2007 at Raipur. These meetings serve twin purposes of flocking together for a common purpose and for reasserting our commitment to the axiom “ All for one and all”.

The priority on the top of agenda is to construct a Community Hall where we could meet and share our concern. Obviously, such a project would not be realized unless considerable cooperation and enthusiasm on the part of our members is ensured. And it is there as we can boast of an exemplary cooperation and coactions of our colleagues-in-spirit who stand form with commitment to work out this project into a reality. A delegation of the members from Raipur met the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh and sought assurance of a piece of land and financial assistance for constructing the proposed community hall.

Our community has the explicit privilege of reckoning with dignitaries who have built up their reputation in diverse fields of social service from prestigious forums. This includes Medical, Educational, Scientists and Philanthropists. We are confident that collective efforts shall vindicate our sense of service towards our community in the time to come so that our posterity mat draw cues from our spirit of unity and service to march ahead with the legacy.
